Now Recruiting for 2024 

Interested in Dancing at Wash U?

Wash U Dance Team dances at NCAA Division III Football and Basketball Games hosted at Francis Olympic Field or the Wash U Field House. We dance at halftime and on the sidelines during the games. 

Wash U Dance Team Competes at DTU's College Classic in Orlando, Florida. This year we will be competing DIII Pom and DIII Hip Hop. We work with local and national choreographers for our competition material. 

Wash U Dance Team practices three times a week, we have a dance studio with mirrors, and we utilize our athletics facilities for gym space.

Tryouts 

Updated Tryout Information will be posted in the spring. If you have been accepted into  Wash U as a part of the Class of 2028 or a transfer student, please reach out to send us a video. We would LOVE to offer you a spot on the team if your technique is a good fit! 

Requested Skills

  • Two 8 Counts of Second Turns 

  • Triple Pirouette

  • Toe Touch

  • Calypso

  • Corner Jump 

The above is not an exhaustive list of skills that may be asked of Wash U Dance Team members. Inability to perform one of the above skills does not automatically prevent you from making the Wash U Dance Team. We are always looking for potential and performance ability.
